Students of 1ºC made a presentation about the main characteristics of the religious music during the Middle Ages:

"La sorpresa" de Haydn

Joseph Haydn fue uno de los compositores más emblemáticos del Clasicismo musical (siglo XVIII). Es conocido como "El padre de la Sinfonía" ya que compuso más de cien.

En sus sinfonías abundan los toques de humor, así en la Sinfonía nº94 llamada "La Sorpresa" es conocida sobre todo por su segundo movimiento, en el que un brusco golpe de timbal servía para despertar a aquellos del público que se había dormido, ya que era costumbre en el público inglés de la época dormir una siesta durante los conciertos.

 

Woman in music of the Middle Ages

The students of 1ºC did an amazing work researching about the Music in the Middle Ages. 

An interesting part of this project was to discover the role of the woman in the music of these centuries.
